Learning Curves and Saying YES

Today was a special day of climbing a large learning curve that felt sky-high at the start of the day ;-).

I am no adept in the art of creating documents, flyers, or any other sort of media. I have never been proficient in any office program, just winging it with word processing for all these years.

Today felt kind of like when I was exploring this world of blogging---which we're used to much more now, however, the hows and whys and strategies are still hazy!

Today I learned about finding clip art on the Internet, specifically by searching through images on Google. How? By doing a search for free clip art. Put in the search box what type of clip art you wish to find, then when the search results come up, click on the "Images" link and all documents with images will come up in the search. Pretty cool.

I spent about an hour or so exploring and finding the clips I wanted to use to make a flyer for the brochures for business owners and for the table tomorrow.

Then, I got busy in Office 2007 --- mind you, this is a brand new program for me. Just downloaded it a few days ago and it's transformed my documents and made them feel like a foreign language!

And with that, the better part of my day was spent creating flyers by exploring features of Word and figuring out how to use them ;-). From figuring out how to use a watermark to figuring out how to even find my clip art (for some reason, it never showed up in the search box for it--- I had to go through the picture link and do a search from my hard drive to find the files where I placed them), to figuring out how to wrap text around objects, etc. I finally felt a sigh of relief when I knew I pretty much had my documents done.

Now, the true test: They are being reviewed by Ginny and she'll get back to me in the morning about them.

Today's Update had something cool in it: AMERICAN EXPRESS GIFT CARDS!
Double Commissions through August
No Card Fees--No Shipping Fees

Here's an email from Barbara Harding, a Founding Member about purchasing her new AMEX Gift Cards:

Hello Ginny,

I just ordered American Express cards for Christmas. There is no per card fee and 2nd day delivery is also free.

I purchased 18 cards and only paid the face value. This is the time to swamp American Express with orders. If they see what MPM can do, maybe they will be more willing to work with us. Besides, this month the commission is 2.10%!

Shop for Christmas NOW and save!

Barbara Harding

WOW! This is fantastic ~~~

AMEX is on MY LIST for Shopping this Month!!!! ;-)

Other notable news in the Update was regarding the Operation World Changer:

Helping Hearts Partnership Program – Team Lead: Tess Hustead

This program is actually a brand new division of My Power Mall, with Tess Hustead chosen as the Director! This is also the only Operation World Changer choice that allows you to make money immediately as you build your business! Yep - Tess will be heading up a team of people who will be setting up tables at local grocery stores, gas stations, etc. - selling certificates to customers.

You will earn $5 from each certificate sold! On an average you should be able to sell about 40 certificates a weekend - generating $200. That's cool, but the most important thing is that you'll also be following up with these people to share My Power Mall with them.

Let's be conservative and say only 2 people a week become a World Changer - I think MOST will at least get a Personal Mall. What would your business be like if you were adding 2 World Changers a week (100 a year)? The potential here is amazing.

I would encourage you to be one of the first in your area to get involved - possibly positioning yourself for a Regional Managers position in this new division. :) The weekend income will be nice - the long-term residual income will change your life!

********************************************************************************
********************************************************************************

Now you know why I've been talking about the strategies I've been talking about this week ;-). We are so excited to be setting up our first table certificate fundraising sale tomorrow and Sunday for the Happy Hearts Partnership Program. YEAH!

I set an intention after Ginny's request to find a location for this weekend that we would find a business owner who had the same TWCCTW heart and vision as we do. We found her! And, we're able to fund not only the Solar Oven Factory but we're able to help her fund the library expansion that she and the entire community has been working on for 6 years! They have raised an incredible amount of money thus far, and they are needing to raise the last $20K dollars. How thrilling to be able to be a part of this process this weekend. And, how wonderful it will be to meet many more members of our community.

I am so humbled and filled with joy and gratitude to be asked to be the Director of the Helping Hearts Partnership Program by Ginny. Thank you for your belief in me, Ginny, Jacki, and the entire M-Team. I appreciate you and I am happy to join with you in furthering TWCCTW's vision.

We're going to have a lot of fun, while doing activities that may or may not be our strengths. Activities like I did today --- creating flyers with a deadline and not having the skills as the day began! Activities like getting on the phone and calling business owners, introducing who I am and TWCCTW, and asking them to partner with us in a fundraising experience. Being able to focus on the goal and visualize the business owners and people who "catch the vision" and not be detoured when you happen to speak to someone who says, "No" or they have their guard up and are asking questions that you may or may not have the answers to.

Each and every time we commit to something new, we will grow and stretch. We will face unknowns and need to trust that we will be given what we need as it appears to do the best possible job while also bringing about the best results possible for everyone involved.

As you read this, and you consider where you are in your My Power Mall business, I encourage you to take the risk to step out of your comfort zone and do the activities that will move you forward toward your own success.

Take a look at the new options for Operation World Changer. Choose the best option for you. Or better yet, choose the option that is most uncomfortable for you.

Bottom line: Choose an option. Say, "YES!" to your opportunity. Go for it! Stretch and grow! And, I'll be meeting you joyfully along your path to your freedom--- of you being able to live your passionate life, and giving to others along the way.

Lastly, I wish to say, "Congratulations, Shannon!!!" I'm so happy you'll be heading up the Flyers, Invitation Cards and Business Cards Team. YEAH!! You're going to do a great job! Whoo-hoo.

Have a great weekend, everyone! Enjoy!

Moving Forward

Today I gave a call to our store owner to ask a few clarifying questions, and to see if she had already created a flyer that supported the local library. She did have a flyer, however, her computer has crashed in the last few days and she's awaiting support to get it fixed ;-).

We added another day to our time at the market. We'll be there Saturday and Sunday to sell certificates.

As we're supporting this local library, I did some research about the county library system and learned a lot. In the process, I spoke to the Friends of the Library group's president for this branch; and I spoke with the Community Outreach Coordinator for the county library. I had a great reception with the Coordinator, and she is going to help make introductions to the library's foundation. I had a cool reception from the President. All and all, I'm positive about the information I've gathered and the steps taken to move our project forward.

It was most interesting to learn that though the Friends and the County work together to support the libraries, they are very different entities and their are laws and other factors that keep them separate in terms of creating literature and brochures to get the word out about their fund-raising needs. The Friends President didn't feel comfortable sharing literature and logos from their Friends group without it going before the board. And the Coordinator felt very happy to share their brochures, however, we agreed we would await a meeting with the Foundation so as to honor the effort of this particular store on behalf of the Friends.

So, we will promote the library itself, rather than the Friends entity. This should alleviate any concern about it. And, we shall support the Solar Oven Factory. And, we shall support the customer while the customer supports a local business. It's a win-win-win-win! Together We Can Change The World is really pretty special.

As the Coordinator said to me today, "It sounds just too good to be true!"

I replied with a chuckle, "It really is, isn't it? But that's our company philosophy. TWCCTW really wants everyone to win."

Wednesday Coaching Call

In an amazing bit of news this evening from Jacki, I learned I missed the coaching call ;-).

I'm still off this week on my days ;-). Today was like Tuesday, even though I knew at various times of the day it was Wednesday! By Coaching Call time, I didn't have a clue ;-). All sorts of things converged at that point and I even called Jacki. Even when I didn't get her, I still didn't realize my error. I'm sorry to have missed both calls this week. I'd say I'm out of rhythm with my schedule --

Today I made more calls to local merchants. I have one business owner I thought of a few weeks ago as a choice for the Solar Oven Project. When I went to his website today and read about his business history, his philosophy and who he supports, I was very pleased. He has the TWCCTW heart. Though I didn't reach him in today, I hope to reach him tomorrow.

I did find another manager who was very intrigued and willing to send information along to his regional manager, and we'll speak again in a few weeks once he returns from vacation.

And, I spoke to another manager who said I'd need to speak to the owner, so I will give another call tomorrow.

I had a great success today speaking with an owner directly for another smaller store out in the county. They are the largest grocer in that area of our county, and she's quite used to fund-raising efforts, including her own. This summer they have raised between $200-$300 dollars for their local charity of choice, the library, and are helping pay for its new addition. Though she was a bit tentative trusting who we are and our motives, her desire to give outweighed her concern and she's willing to have tables set up out in front of her market this Saturday to "give it a try".

This is exciting news . . . Surely, we will find business folks in our local areas who have the TWCCTW philosophy and heart, and they will enjoy partnering with us in fund-raising endeavors. This first store is an example of it. And more will follow.

Keep your heads held high, and continue to reach for your dreams. They are within reach. Consistency and perseverance, and doing what others are sometimes unwilling to do over and over and over, however simple, are the keys to many a successful person who's walked before us. Now is our turn to put these principles into play.

Tuesday Feels Like Monday ;-)

Awakened to a beautiful morning after a wonderful night of rest. And, yes, the day has felt like a Monday, not because of the "grind" but because of taking the day off yesterday! ;-)

We caught up on a some follow-up calls after getting the morning under way and after a trip to the post office. Today I had that feeling of having so many directions I could take that are productive, that I wasn't sure which one to take. The walk to the USPS helped calm me down and help me focus. I also tidied papers on my desk, caught my calendar up, and once I made follow-up calls, I could feel myself returning into a groove that has become so comfortable the last few months.

I called the woman I met at a larger pharmacy hoping to catch her in to discuss Solar Oven sales; she was out, this for the 2nd time in a few weeks.

I returned calls to another pharmacy and a hardware store and updated them on our project, and then later had another return call from a larger wholesale warehouse, and updated him. This felt good.

I decided to write out the script I'm formulating as I talk with them and learn more about what is working when approaching these folks to partner with in supporting our Solar Oven Project.

Many of them want to support a local organization either by cash or by product donation or discounts for silent auctions, etc. I wonder how we can have this work for us, but I haven't come up with a viable idea about that as yet. My best thought is being able to take the product they give/donate, sell it and use the funds to buy a certificate to give to a local charity.

By this time, Big Z was chomping for more personal time with Mom, so we hopped on our bikes at 5:15 and made a huge loop around our area and got back at 7:15. It was a fun ride, and just the right temperatures.

Amazingly, the sun has gone down, and it's already dark. The days are getting shorter . . .

Oh, and the news of the day:

Operation World Changer has been put off a week due to a technical situation. Perhaps we'll have an update tomorrow that will illuminate more.

Until then, as Red Green once said to his followers, "Keep your stick on the ice." And, keep nourishing your goals and your vision for your ever-increasing bright future.

This reminds me, too, of another call I made today. To the Mom at the fair yesterday --- I called to tell her how fun it was to run into her washing the BIG horse and we had a nice visit. She mentioned having friends in town and how her boy just loved having available an extra bike for his 9 year old friend to ride. They had a famous time! So, we spoke of how wonderful it was to have unexpected connections, and how, at this point, perhaps we'll continue to keep in touch.

We never know when we're going to meet someone that will impact our lives in such a way as it will never be the same again. I cannot know about this woman, and what it will mean, but in the back of my head, I'm curious. Ground is fertile to re-approach her at some point with TWCCTW as it has already been mentioned, and she has a card. Knowing her next few weeks are full caring for the horses at our local fair, and another fair south of where we live, she's got her mind on other things. But I can't help but wonder if she'll be one of those unexpected business partners we all hope for, ask for, and then, shows up in our lives. It will be fun to have it all unfold and find out ;-).

Day 37 ----------Day Off at the Local Fair

Today Big Z and I took off to share the day at the opening day of our local fair as his Dad had set up the time to share with a friend of Big Z's and their family. As it turned out, Big Z's Dad worked while I got to scoop Big Z up for the fun before Operation World Changer begins.

We had a wonderful time!!!

So, no work was done today, only sharing good time with friends.

However, our work did come up in conversation. And, we got to share what we've been up to.

And, as it would happen, while we were looking at the magnificent horses, and were outside while Z's friend's Mom was on the line to his Dad, we were watching a huge draft horse being washed. As we stood there, low and behold was the woman who had come to get Big Z's bikes earlier this week with her boys and husband. She was about to lose her cell phone from the place she'd safely placed it to keep it dry, and from falling into the wet suds below this huge creature, so I went up behind her, tapped her on the shoulder, and told her about the phone. We visited for a very short bit before wishing her well. Her boys were home with Dad. Somehow, she's been able to get the full week off to tend to the horses at the fair -- wow! Getting them washed, prettied up and dressed for their performances is her annual mission at the fair. Pretty cool.

We arrived home a few minutes tardy to the Family Chat, but I got a majority of Ginny's special message to all of us this evening. I look forward to hearing the beginning of the call. I'm so glad I got most of it. As Forest Gump says, "Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know which one you're going to get." So, too is Family Chat calls with Ginny. You never quite know what is going to happen, or what message we'll receive, but you can be assured Family Chats are as good as the best chocolate.

Dream well, everyone.

Day 34 -------Seeking a Store Location

The Customer Service Line was very busy with folks asking how to get their back office log in information after receiving Ginny's voice blast yesterday. It was a fast few hours and good to help so many members reconnect with MPM and Together We Can Change The World.

A few hours of our day was spent researching information and numbers for store locations where we can have tables for the Solar Oven Factory Certificate Sales. I called local stores, pharmacies and hardware stores and left voice messages, spoke to people, and then had calls back. Will look forward to following up with them next week. We have some folks who are willing to see information via email before they decide; and another store that needs a written form sent into their Corporate office. Still others I will have to speak with directly.

Had more time with Big Z today ----His sleep-over went really well and the boys ended the week in camp feeling wonderful about the scrimmage and their certificates. Big Z and I celebrated by going to the movies with his Dad and having banana splits upon our arrival home ;-).

Happy weekend to everyone!
Sleep well and enjoy!

Day 33 ----- Preparation

Today was an interesting day on Customer Service due to the conversations had. Usually, we always have a reward in some form or another. Today's special nature of CS was related to our team. We have a great team and connecting happens and enriches our lives. Thanks to each of you who bring goodness to an already good experience in My Power Mall.

I caught up on Operation World Changer requirements, called some team members and left voice messages, sent team emails, and had a conversation with Phillip before heading off to meet the boys after basketball camp.

We went to the market for supplies, and on our way out, lo and behold, we met one of our contacts from Miracle Team Boot Camp . . . clearly he had not viewed the video yet! However, we had a few minutes' exchange on a topic dear to his heart. We bit each other good-bye and I will call/email him anyhow ;-).

Upon our arrival home, the boys got right to work on watermelon, Pokemon, play and fun.

I got absorbed in checking email and then, got caught up in Face book.

I spend a bit of time trying to figure out how to post my Ugandan American Global Initiatives Flyer in there and found I wasn't sure how to post the .pdf file. I caught up on posting and then learned that certain video types are not allowed to be uploaded to Face book. I also noted that some MPM videos that were there were taken off by the owner.

Eventually, I just decide it was time to create a YouTube account. So I did. Named it "BigZandMom" and then set about uploading our two Lost Marble videos for Big Z's Enterprise.

Then, I went back to Face book and got one of the YouTube videos uploaded.

Now that I think of that, I need to call 1&1 Internet and make sure our domain is still active for him because a recent email alerts me that it may be time for renewal --- and these videos have Big Z's domain on them, not his Foundation Mall domains ;-).

Then, I went back to YouTube and viewed all the videos on GinnyDye channel, subscribed and asked to be a friend.

We're making progress in social networking ;-). And, it feels like today was a day in preparation for Operation World Changer.

I got a call from Ginny today, as she promised! It was fun to answer and hear her message about www.mypowermallchanges.com and know that every single member who has a current phone number will get this message, too! YEAH!

I am so amazed the day is coming to a close.

Already???

We're going to have a walk and help digest our dinner, come back for dessert, and then hop to bed.

No contacts made today, or follow-ups with leads.

Have a wonderful night's rest everyone! Happy Friday a few hours early to YOU!

May your hearts be full and may you be optimistic about your ever-increasing wealth in all areas of your life.

Day 32 --------Mid-Week

A busy day !!!

Got to share the bicycles from our contact at the local bike shop from the other day; and they shared with me. The eldest boy loved the "classic" bike, but they took both. It was a wonderful time of interaction, however, Big Z was at basketball camp time, so he didn't get to have more time with these young boys. It was magical to watch the eldest boy choose his favorite bike and to have him not care at all about "bells and whistles" and instead value the "simple over the complicated".

I didn't talk about My Power Mall with Mom after all, but we've left the door open for a potential ride on the local trails, even though the family lives in a neighboring town. And, I will send a thank you note for the gift shared in return and will open the door again to shopping rebates in another moment.

Believe it or not, I had opportunity to read the Update for today, click on the link to the new site for the Operation World Changer and then didn't get to read it before I was out the door for my meeting with the owner of the India restaurant.

I didn't know what to expect in terms of them having viewed the video. The oldest boy was there, and so I sat down with him and we got to work as Mom stood by for a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised they DID watch the view, this morning! YEAH!

Mom then bustled between a steady flow of customers, I was engaged for a good portion of time with her 10 year old boy as he fired questions at me. It was very sweet and I was really surprised at his interest.

His first question was, "Have you met Ginny?"

Then, questions ran from "How do you get paid?" to "How do you sign up?" to "What is a tier?" to "How does the American Express Gift Card work?" to "How much does it cost and how much do I pay monthly?" I wrote out three pages of notes . . .

Mom came back and forth to the table and we had more minutes at the end of my time to talk a little bit. She was tired! What I learned causes me to be even more glad that I went to speak to her.

Business owners are not immune to financial distress.

She said her clients and customers believe that everything is fine, when really, they aren't. Knowing we have the potential to help her entire family should they choose "YES!" was a thought of thanksgiving for TWCCTW.

I asked her where she stood on a scale of 1-10 and she said, "A five moving toward a 10." She didn't really have too many questions, so I went over what we spoke about with her son, and the questions he asked me.

She was beginning to yawn and I knew not much more would be retained. So I asked, "What would move you closer to a 10?" She wasn't sure in that moment. I left her with, "The sign-up process is simple. When you're ready to get started, then I'll be here to help you. I want to ensure I walk you through the certificate registration again so you're sure to get your Visa Gift Cards. I'll be there to help you." We hugged and I shook hands with her boy and I was off.

I am pleased with the series of our interactions the last three weeks; and I'm sure good will come of it in many ways. I will check in after next week when I know a family member will help her with her Internet and email connection. She had troubles accessing business email on her home computer. I also recommended they get a Gmail account before they sign up with their World Changer Mall. I'm very optimistic and left there feeling good. The meeting was about 2 hours.

Going into a business is one sure fire way to have a meeting that is in an "uncontrolled environment". Your ability to have a steady conversation is challenged by the proprietor's need to have their focus on the customers . . . therefore, from my limited experience, I would say to always allow for additional time in your schedule to accommodate the unexpected and perhaps longer meeting than you may intend.

I also realize there may be a way to have a meeting set where the environment can be more controlled. I have a friend who has been in beverage sales for a number of years; he now has worked for the Lottery for a few years. He's been into thousands of businesses. I am going to set up a time to talk with him and see what he can share with me that will help me "leverage myself" in a business setting.

Biked to piano with Big Z and had a good time.

Got on a conference call with the women's online networking group and posted in their forum. It was a good call and I'm looking forward to my "stepped up" commitment to "grow" within this community and with the information they are teaching on these calls. I feel confident this program and connection with this group of international women will benefit the growth of Big Z's Enterprise and our team expansion.

Thank you to Sandy, Jacki, Shannon, Phillip and Tom for your check-in today. I appreciate all of you!

And, Eleanor, thank you, too, for checking in periodically throughout Miracle Boot Camp to see how it was going. You're appreciated, too! I'm really enjoying John Assaraf and Murray Smith's book, The Answer. I see now why you recommended I "do what they tell you to do!"

I pass along Eleanor's recommendation to everyone who's reading this post. The Answer is very much worth the read; and, it will be very much more worth it to you to take the time to complete the exercises and implement their daily actions for 30 days and beyond. I intend to do this myself.

10 PM already? HOW can that BE?

Well, signing off ---
and reporting:

1 contact for Monday
1 contact for Tuesday
0 Contacts for Today

(I reported to Susan on Monday and Tuesday, but I betcha she's pretty much inundated by being at the helm of the Certificate program AND preparing for Operation World Changer ;-).)

Happy and restful sleep to YOU. May your heart be filled to the brim with the changes that are coming to YOU n-o-w.

Day 31 ------ Operation World Changer Changes Our Plans

Okay Team~~~

August 14 is my last day of my personal 60 Day Challenge for the Miracle Team ~~~

However, with our news yesterday of the fast-approaching Operation World Changer implementation at hand, I know that in order to have a shot at having the energy to work intensely for another 7 weeks, I will need a break. This week is likely the only time to have it ;-).

If Operation World Changer is to last 7 weeks, this means the 7 weeks will likely begin on Monday the 17th IF Ginny is to make it to the Regional Event on time the first week of October ;-).

Though I say "a break" I will still have a follow-up in person tomorrow, and have some follow-ups this week, as well as customer service scheduled. Big Z is in a basketball camp, he's got a sleep-over planned and I have other "to-dos" on my calendar. However, if I take as much time as I can to "play, rest and spend time with Big Z", I hope to have a bit of a recharge.

Today I made it to the eye doctor and I even had an opportunity to mention Z's Business. I have the email of the doctor and will be emailing her something in relation to the eye-care product she recommended to me. However, since she knows I can get a rebate from Big Z's online store, and I told her staff she could also get a rebate and still sell products to her customers (details, of course, would have to be discussed with various retailers). So, I will include this information when I email her ;-).

My afternoon was spent helping a friend on a project.

We're now going out for a few minutes on the bicycles after Big Z plays a few notes on his keyboard. Then, off to bed for a great night's rest.

Tomorrow, I will know from our update how to proceed.

We are 99% certain we will volunteer for Operation World Changer. I've already had the update conversation with Big Z and we know that our determination is what it takes and is what will get us closer to realizing our short and long-term goals. When I read the update tomorrow, I'm intending we'll know for certain so we may implement a strategy for our well being along with Jacki and Ginny's plan for our success.

Wishing you all a good night's rest.

Day 30 ----Monday

Though I intended to rock and roll on Saturday, it ended up that I made calls to Miracle Team members and caught up with them, and also had a short visit with Susan. By the time this was done, Facebook grabbed me and then, much of the day was gone . . . but I felt good to look in on a few people and reply to a few posts, catching up on histories, careers and working to understand the power of "social networking". Though I ended up not having much productivity in terms of contacting new folks, but I did get to connect and have some time with Big Z, who came home early from a rained-out camping excursion.

Today was a grand day on the Customer Service line. It was almost non-stop and as folks called in just as my shift was ending and I ended up hopping off the line about 30 minutes later. That happens sometimes, and, how wonderful it is when a happy member is on the other end of my computer connection . . . !!!! There's nothing like a happy and motivated My Power Mall member, just like Antwon from Wisconsin (thanks, Antwon!). There's nothing like connecting with members who need a quick bit of help and getting them connected. There's nothing like teaching a person how to fish (showing them around their back office so that can show their new team members around it the next time).

Big news was also released in our company today . . . due to the speed of my day, it took me half the day to read it! ;-). We got a team email out today to let our team know about our Family Chat call tonight and about the big changes for My Power Mall.

The mid-portion of the day sort of fell apart and so I decided to stop pushing up-hill and instead take Big Z on a wet bike ride around big block and to take him to the bike shop a tune-up. Wet, yes it was. We got soaked as rain spit and spit, as the water on the street splatted and splatted! While we were at the bike shop, we gained a contact with a Mom. We offered to share some old bikes with her boys (Yes! Three BOYS!).

We will meet with her on Wednesday about the bicycles; and she was intrigued to gain info on Z's mall. I had my notebook on me and I already had the information filled out when I gave it to her:

name,
phone,
email,
best times to call.

She filled it out! I told her why it was written up like that, half-apologizing about it . . . but was super pleased that she filled it out completely while we were talking with the bike guy ;-).

We got back just in time for making some follow-up calls before Family Chat.

As I said, we've have much needed rain today . . . watering our dry earth and filling our local water supply; I didn't feel I was as productive as our rain ;-). Perhaps, as Ginny said tonight on the call, my roots were watered in invisible ways . . . surely as my heart was touched by everything said on the call, and from it, new life will come!

A good night to my boy just now; and early to bed am I, for my early commute back to the eye doctor as dawn comes --- Surely I will have much thanksgiving in my heart as I travel tomorrow, for . . .

. . . I do not have to make that commute every day of my life!

I am f'ree!

And Together We Can Change The World is part of me and my son's vehicle of f'reedom as we continue to "water our roots" so "new life can come" and so we can "hand money up to [Corporate]" and NPO's around the globe that choose to make a difference.

When you have a heart and you choose to give, this company is just the right company to partner with, whether you want to grow a business, or support a charity, or just to know that every purchase you make goes to support the One-Cause-At-A-Time Program --- that's 6% of Corporate Profits, baby!

Day 27 -----Last Official Miracle Boot Camp Day

It's FRIDAY!!!!

And the last day of another mini-milestone in our lives as Miracle Teamers . . .

We're keeping at it, though, until next Friday (though perhaps not 5 contacts a day, and instead, follow-up, follow-up, follow-up) . . . and beyond ;-).

Next Friday is our deadline for the full 60 day cycle of our entire Miracle Team, which has included Miracle Boot Camp.

August 14, 2009.

Join us???

We didn't get our hike in after all. Big Z arrived home late from a chess tourney last night; that's good because he got to take his friend with him. So, instead, we biked to his Summer Reading Celebration.

Where'd our sunshine go? It disappeared the last few days and is downright cool . . . So our trip downtown had a very cool edge to it, but this evening, though breezy and overcast, it's nice out.

Fall is coming . . .

The summer reading program event was a good one. There were enough kids there to occupy the Mayor for quite awhile shaking hands of all our community readers. Then when finished, a book sale to benefit the Friends of the Library was on, so we spun around inside, Big Z captivated by all the titles. He walked away with a score--- 2 Harry Potter movies . . . one of which occupied his early afternoon ;-), and three books.

It's amazing this little Miracle Team journey is ending, however . . . Ginny's update lets us know that next week there is something new on the horizon (different than the contest she mentioned for youngsters on a recent Family Chat???) . . . Our curiosity is piqued . . .

We celebrate Susan H's advancement to Director of the Certificate Program! It was fun to send her an email after our call last night which caused her to blush in embarrassment from our compliments to her. Thanks, Susan!!! You're terrific!

Thank you, Jacki! I hope your week on the beach has been splendid for you and when you walk through your doors this weekend and you're home again, you feel a surge of new energy and focus. Thanks for asking the questions and giving us inspirational stories and tips that are insightful and helpful to the growth of our Foundations and our businesses.

Thanks to each and every person on our Miracle Team that came through and advanced on your goals for our TWCCTW Foundations. Groundwork is now in place to keep rolling forward and reaping the reward of our efforts. Each of you has taught me something different about how to approach growing our teams, about life and its lessons, about how to communicate with others, and about myself.

Thank you to everyone following us and cheering for us ;-).

Thank you to Ginny and the Management Team for continually providing the best of the best and then improving upon the best for us. Thank you for your vision and your inspiration, and your words of encouragement. Your endurance is a testament to your powerful and expansive passion for the mission of Together We Can Change The World.

It's been a tremendous privilege to be on the Miracle Team and the Miracle Boot Camp. We look forward to our next powerful team gathering where we can grow and test ourselves again, stretch and celebrate results, seen and unseen.

Have a great weekend, breathe in a great big breath, and pat yourselves on the back for your successes. Enjoy.

Day 26 ------ "Raise Hand!" *2 "Lower Hand!"

I'd say I'll miss the sound of the, "Raise hand!" as we end our Miracle Team Calls ;-), but we're going to keep using the new calling system for all our calls and family chats, lol.

38 follow-up calls thus far today before the team call. Still have stacks and stacks of calls to make ;-).

Welcome e-cards to new members sent.

Jacki read an SBIY story tonight, #310. It was about "throwing our hat over the tall stone wall and setting out to retrieve it" and about overcoming barriers in our lives.

It was especially touching for me to hear tonight as some barriers are staring me right in my eyes ;-).

Goals for next weeks:

Stick with my plan until August 14th because that's the date I set when Miracle Team was first announced, therefore, we'll keep working our plan.

Follow-up, follow-up, follow-up. I have stacks and stacks of folks to keep following up with. I have some emails that fell through the cracks for people that need to have an e-book of thanks; I have folks who said, "No, not now on the business" that need to hear about the Solar Oven Factory and how they may take advantage of the certificates if they found value in the certificates instead of the business; I have other folks who've fallen through the cracks; and I have people on my desk that I haven't had a chance to contact yet.

I will continue to connect with stores to find the one that will allow me and Big Z to set up a table outside their store to have our Solar Oven Factory Project . . . The end of Miracle Team will enable this more involved connections to be made.

We're going to continue with the Business Partnership Outreaches.

We're going to continue to establish our connections on Facebook and another online women's networking group.

We're going to do new member reach-outs and reach out to our older members and set up a team call.

I want time with Big Z; and I want to have a time to connect with my family in California.

I am going to read cover to cover the book that Eleanor Norton recommended in the first Boot Camp---

John Assaraf's The Answer. In my initial reading in the early chapters on the history of science and quantum physics , insights into the healing work I do have been so fascinating and valuable. I really like how he writes in an almost oral fashion, reminding us frequently that he and his co-author's guidance "will grow our business", "our business", about "our business." (The co-auther is Murray Smith.) I am excited to see what they present that will help a person grow a thriving business. Eleanor told me this morning, "Put into action what he directs you to do." and said she has one of his earlier books as well.

Thank you, Eleanor ;-).

The healing work I do is called Reconnective Healing. You may learn more at http://www.thereconnection.com. Reconnective Healing may be done in person (which is the most fun) and long distance. The Reconnection may only be done in person. Together, each one provides a complete healing experience that continues long after the sessions are over. It's fascinating and powerful work that provides healing on many levels --- psychological, spiritual, emotional, mental and physical. It's an honor for me to bear witness and be a part of a client's healing journey . . .

Big Z is going camping with his Dad this weekend, so tomorrow early in the morning, I'm going to take him hiking. Though it's cooled off a great deal in our area, the cooler it is, the further he'll be able to hike ;-). Then, I heard it's already time for the awards at the library for the summer reading program, so, it's a good idea I get him there for his rewards.

After these adventures, it will be back to the grindstone for the last few hours' efforts on our Miracle Team Boot Camp.

Today I had a follow-up call that gave me my third connect with a Miracle Team lead from early June. I had a disconnect two times I've called. But as I said on the call yesterday, when I get a disconnect, I will call back! Sometimes I get the voice mail. Other times I get to say, "I called a few minutes ago, but was somehow disconnected. May I speak with ______, please?"

I got a new voice, an older voice, and it said, "I think you better just speak with me." Turns out the lead is 16. So, we had a brief but effective conversation. They young man is very adept online and his parents give him quite a bit of lee-way to do things like this since he is responsible. So, they are going to watch the video as a family (of course I mentioned Lana!) and then they will be away this weekend. He promised they would call me back by Monday. I've followed up with an email and added, "If I don't hear from you, I will call you!"

Day 25 ------ Countdown 2 More Days

So funny to consider 2 more week days . . . the full 4 weeks makes it a 28 day cycle this time around for our Miracle Boot Camp.

When I think of the amount of new contacts that have been added in just the last few weeks, I say, "Whoa!" We still have work to do!

Jacki challenged us to come up with our plan for the next four weeks by tomorrow evening's call. That challenge is daunting for those of us who have been diligently working on various projects for months now . . . ;-). Part of me says, "REST, VACATION, ENJOY BIG Z!"

The other part of me says, "Must keep following up. Must keep taking action. Must stay in the game --- perhaps, however, with more balance in our life and less intensity ;-)."

RECOMMENDATION:

CHECK YOUR PAYMENTS to PAYMENT CARD MONTHLY (somewhere before the 10th of the month). I learned the hard way after discovering a recent payment in MAY onto our payment card for all of our new World Changer TEAM pay that the company will charge you a $2.95 fee per month you leave your money in their system. This means I will likely never see a very valuable $8.85 over the last three months. WHY? I didn't realize how quickly TEAM PAY for WORLD CHANGERS adds up and therefore didn't even consider we had a payment! Nor did I realize ADP charged this fee if you had money in the account. OOOoooops! You can bet I won't intentionally make that mistake again!

BE MORE MINDFUL THAN I WAS . . . PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR COMMISSION PAYOUT and when you're getting close to the MAGIC NUMBER you have set in your back office under your "Update Account Information". Be sure to watch when your payments are added to your ADP Total Pay card so you can snatch that cash off the card as soon as possible!

We have on our goal sheet that our Miracle Team time would last until August 14, 2009. Therefore, as much as I'd like to fall into a slump in a few days (lol), we will stay the course and continue to work our plan.

As I discovered our pay and what happens when WORLD CHANGERS join your team and how QUICKLY that BOLSTERS your COMMISSIONS, well, I realized at a much deeper level why Jacki and Ginny have been telling us of the power of 5 World Changers. Developing World Changers is just "good business sense".

While in there, I found an unexpected three new business malls that likely came as a thank you for being on the Customer Service Team. They all came in over the weekend when I was taking leisure and renewal time . . . and I didn't receive the email notification due to strange happenings with that host provider for the last few months.

So, when we look at our goals set for Miracle Team, which has turned into Boot Camp, I see results. Unexpected results. We're often told to ask for what we want. Write it out. Then, let go of the outcome.

Since we began our journey with Miracle Team, we asked to personally sponsor 35 people into our foundation malls who are in alignment with the TWCCTW philosophy and who desire a legitimate revenue stream in their lives in the form of a home business.

Personally sponsor to me meant that we would do the fancy footwork; I forgot all about Divine Intervention ;-).

Therefore, our three newly discovered malls, though not in our foundation mall, count.
Therefore, the other three malls, 1 World Changer and 2 Business Malls count (also not under this foundation, but another sponsor mall).
Therefore, our new World Changer from Idaho counts.
And, we had a World Changer in early June as we began Miracle Team.

This is 8 malls.

We have at least three folks who are on the cusp of signing up (maybe more, just have to go over my paperwork to double-check). There are others we are due to follow-up with in time.

Therefore, I let go of our outcome again and just let the flow happen. We are grateful for however it is our team members come to us. We are happy to have each and every one of them.

Now, what's going to be even more wonderful is to see our team members have their teams grow!

Day 23 ----- A World Changer Day!

We love World Changers?

You know we LOVE World Changers!!!

We have a World Changer who joined our team TODAY:

Please welcome our new World Changer Terry B. from Idaho!!!!!

Terry has been looking a long while for a program that will help her bolster her retirement, help her stay home more, get her off her feet more since her job requires standing on concrete, and to let go of her commute to work.

She said YES! to My Power Mall because she likes our system, she loves our philosophy of giving, and she said she enjoyed talking with me and that we could laugh together--- add to it the certificates which bring her back $600 over the course of the year, and she's happy to find us.

By the time I had called her for our follow-up today, Terry had been online all morning researching our company and checking out the features in her back office, familiarizing herself with our training and I found her in our MPM Marketplace getting ready to purchase an advertising aid -- a MUG. She received her Welcome Letter, so we got right to work sharing with her some of the most pertinent information that will help her be successful as she begins.

Terry is yet another example of the saying, "A lead is never too old." Terry sought information about a year ago and never really found what she wanted, so instead began an online training course to get her ready for a career change. I am thrilled that I picked up the phone to call her and that she is now part of our Giving Together Is Good Foundation Mall Team, which is really Big Z's Enterprise Team!!!

We are happy to have you, Terry!!!

We are happy to have EVERYONE on Big Z's Enterprise Team! Without you, we are nothing! It's only TOGETHER that we help each other and help TWCCTW keep expanding the envelope of its powerful vision ---

We got some of our Business Partnership Information copied from the business site and onto our hard drive, which we then transferred to a disk to take to the copy store.

We went out to meet our India restaurant friends and were happy the children were there with Mom. She sat us down with the young boys and thus began an hour or so of time together.

Unfortunately, they didn't get to watch the full video since she's been busy, her hubby out of town, and her eldest boy got ill. She did her best to get the computer hooked up at the table, but we found her hardware needed a mandatory upgrade and she wasn't comfortable with the process since her husband always takes care of that. She wants to have her son be the information translator for our language barrier; she feels he's able to understand and translate for her with much more ease. He didn't, however, watch the video either. So, we scheduled for our earliest opportunity, next Wednesday, and the rest of our time was spent visiting amongst the boys and strengthening our connection. This week her time is full; and Mondays are always busy for me, and Tuesday I head back south to my eye doctor which will take a good chunk of my day.

After we departed our folks there, we headed to the copy store to make copies.

We made a few copies of the fliers for display to sell Solar Oven Factory Certificates, made more solar oven fliers, made copies of the receipts and sign-up sheets, and then looked around the store for a few minutes. We caught the eyes of a young gal as her Mom paid for all her school supplies, and so even though we were switched to another line and needed to get to the Chinese restaurant, I pulled out a card and gave it to her so she and her Mom can save big money next time. Big Z was already feeling hot and restless, and with hands full, figured it was the best for that moment.

As we walked to the restaurant, we ran into someone who had seen us in the store (I guess I wasn't paying much attention!) and she is the step-mother of a former classmate of Big Z's. So we had a few pleasantries and were on our way.

Our next meeting went okay, but we hope for better next time. The Mom owner had to step out and she had us talk with her husband. He speaks little English, and understands more. Over all the years he's waited on us, rarely does he speak. Their daughter was there, and had grown, grown, grown, and so she was our help today. She even went to get a notepad to take notes for her father! So, we made it through the best we could leaving information for his wife when she returned. We found out they have Internet at the restaurant, but no email that works --- so, we'll have to see what we can do about that. So, we left copies of the home page of the BPP website, and the Solar Oven Flier, our biz card, and I forgot (even though they were now fresh in the bag) the copy of the Someone Believes In You Story with the World Changer Information on the back ;-). Next time ;-).

We got enough copies to get us through a few handfuls of local merchants . . .

We'll continue to get more and more brave as we take each step ;-).

Have a great rest of the week everyone, and thank you! Thank you! Thank YOU! for all your support and encouragement!

Day 22 -----Week 4 --- Last Week for Boot Camp

The last week of Miracle Team but our efforts will continue on even after this week --- why? Because follow-ups will continue and continue ;-).

Today was a great day of progress, in spite of my browsers that froze up during my customer service time. Made it through okay, and then had to reboot the system to clear the issue.

Big Z got to have a friend over for the day and so once he and his Pal were under way with a game, I got on the phone after a check-in with Boot Camper, Phillip.

I was able to make 21 calls and send 10 follow-up emails.

We're so looking forward to the in person follow-up with our Indian Restaurant owner, and perhaps, depending upon the time, we may just pop in on our Chinese Restaurant and in on our pharmacy person to see if she viewed her online video. If not tomorrow, then on Wednesday.

We have so many follow-ups --- to consider adding more folks to the pipeline this week is a w-i-l-d endeavor . . . only because our time for the week is drawing to a close. Looking at this as a long-term process instead, our perspective changes and it becomes more about "taking daily action to keep the pipeline filled" so that we always have action we take that is productive action.

Big Z got stung by a hornet just before Family Chat call, and we're still helping him ease his pain. The hornet got him good, somehow got stuck under all his long hair ---- so need to hop off here and help him get settled.

Before I do, though, I want to say Family Chat tonight with Mr. Hunt from Australia was really wonderful. The whole call was GREAT. When Mr. Graham Hunt was talking tonight, especially as he was coming to the terrific accolades for Ginny, I was welled up in tears and with goose bumps. It was lovely that Mr. Price included us in his message to Ginny. Thank you, Mr. Hunt. I'm so glad your son has walked through the fire, and you and your wife right along with him. He is the kind of stuff all the SBIY stories are made of, and we know you are blessed beyond compare. Thank you for your offer to share your e-book and your methodology with TWCCTW members. We look forward to you and Ginny's updated information soon.

Good night, All. See you early for Customer Service. Sweet dreams.

Day 19 -----Friday Meet with Business Owner and Commute

I was none too pleased with my commute home from the eye doctor; or that I have to go back again in a short, short to have another test done and ensure the new lenses she's given me will be sufficient. Too, too, too much traffic. Thankfully, it was so much cooler here today that I didn't swelter and I kept "my cool" in spite of the hour plus of stop and go. I tell you what. I am sure spoiled this last year or so, not driving my car much at all, and instead using the bicycle or walking --- and, the not needing to travel. Now, I cannot use my fuel voucher; but I sure have saved a lot in fuel this last year! My tank was thirsty today and I was amazed at how fast a full tank of gas falls when you're in the car that long!

The office staff weren't in the mood to be prospected today. They're all new after my Doc passed a few years ago in a horrible motorcycle accident. Missed him sorely when I found out, and missed him very much today; even welled up in tears seeing his visage around the place, especially in the exam room. I was pleased, however, with the young Doctor that attended me. The staff thought I may very well like to have her husband, but he was out today. I was game to try her and I'm glad we got to meet. Should she choose to have children, she will be a great mother. She has an ability to connect. Maybe next time????

The great news of the day:

I met with the owner of the Indian Restaurant. It was wonderful that her children were there, and oh, so much bigger than when I last saw them. They had their books, their toys, their snacks and their blankets.

She was a bit hesitant at the start of our time together, but as I kept smiling, and talking, she caught hold of my enthusiasm and let go of the "I'm not doing advertising" thoughts and remembered me and our fun visits.

We had quite a few interruptions, but we made it through, and it gave time to connect with her children and to just flow with it. I believe she was quite pleased by the time it was all said and done, even if her youngest placed the wrong cable end into her laptop--- it was useless until she took it to the shop.

We scheduled a follow-up for next week and I told her Big Z will be able to come. When she had her 10 year old go to the counter to wait on a customer (she said he was doing it last year, too, but he's gotten lazy) I was impressed and told her all about Z's Biz and how Ginny loves to have a company where a child can set their life up with the help of a loving adult so that when they are our age, they won't have to wonder how their college bills will be paid, or, how they will pay for their house, or medical bills, or retirement.

Her husband is no longer doing construction due to the market, but instead is in a big rig traveling to and from California. She will speak with him upon his return and look at the video this weekend.

I told her I would get a meal and so I got a buffet take-out. She watched as I put it together, and she commented on my short hair and how different I look to her. And, then she said, "Okay, thank you. See you on Tuesday!" She seemed really happy I was not a salesperson and trying to get her to buy ads. She said they don't work.

I went to pay and she came up and said, "No, no. You don't pay!" I insisted and she relented and I told her how kind she was to offer to give me take-out for nothing. She added, "I have to eat and that's what I do", but I insisted it was very kind of her, but to please, let me pay for my own meal.

So, that's for dinner and I'm going to get right on it. It will still be good ;-).

Big Z got home from his camping trip and did well. He didn't want to have the camping time end. He had a lot of fun and got to help Ranger Amber with tidying up around the park. This was his T-Day project and he's glad that's done so he can devote the weekend to play.

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Day 18 ------Confession

Though I had every intention of gaining new contacts today, the way it all turned out, I didn't. I figure I'll make up for it on the weekend.

Got Z ready for his last big day out and about in our local woods at a park on the bay this early afternoon. It was good to Pal around the house with him this morning getting his gear ready. He got to take his bicycle for a ride on the trail to the park and gets to have about 26 hours' worth of fun and more fun. It's a bit weird to not have him with me or his Dad tonight--- he's been to a sleep-over with a trusted friend, but never out with a group of boys in the dark of night in the woods. I hope that his excitement over being there far outweighs his fears.

Worked on follow-ups this afternoon and into the evening. My one appointment wasn't there, but I did catch in another young man who intends to use My Power Mall to his advantage. He's a clever individual and has many skills that have developed out of an accident that left him in a wheelchair. It was inspirational to hear his excitement and to hear his desire to give back --- and to hear his dreams. He wants to be a part of something big, so we dreamed about the possibility of him being on the tech team for TWCCTW one day! And that he could create something as huge as Google and be as well known as Bill Gates. He works on developing his website for over 8 hours a day and wants to complete this before beginning his alliance with our company, so we are going to keep in touch.

Tomorrow I meet with the owner of the Indian food restaurant and share with her about MPM and the Business Partnership Program. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with her.

I also head a few hours out of town for an eye exam and so will be on the road during high traffic times, but it's supposed to be somewhat cooler tomorrow. I will look for opportunities as I travel familiar and out of the way destinations and change up my routine. The visit is a must for my eyes are long ready for new contacts --- and, I've put it off far too long already. I am making it a priority because it is ;-).

I hopped on FaceBook again to navigate the unfamiliar waters again and connected with more people in various forms. Figured out the chat feature; and how to post on others' Walls, and how to post on mine and comment. So progress being made. What I find so funny about the comments I've gotten so far is they are all related to my pix and how I seem to look just like I did in high school. Hmmm. I think not myself, but hey! The pix isn't up close and personal and may not show every fine line and wrinkle that's developed in 20 plus years ;-). And most funny of all is my sister is on there and I got ahold of her more quickly on FB that I can when I call her, lol.

Night all. Stay safe.

Day 17 -----

We visited a coffee chain and met with the manager and know how to proceed for the Solar Oven Factory Fundraiser. We also spoke to her and the employee on personal terms, but they didn't see the value of getting $270 back ---yet. The employee, however, did ask us to come back on Friday for a huge event they are doing to raise money for Africa. So, that was cool.

We met with a manager of a pharmacy. The pharmacy is so big that we also have to take measures with corporate, so we'll see what happens. We queried her on the personal level and found she has interest, loves doing stuff like this. So, we have her full contact information, a lovely visit, permission to follow-up about the business, etc.

We met with our favorite manager of a Chinese restaurant we've eat at for years. We have permission to come in and speak with her after 2 or 3 PM and we said we'd wait until next week when Big Z is out of camp.

I called the owner of a nice Indian food restaurant. We have a funny story here about when she and her husband first took it over. I ordered take-out while my car was at the tire shop and she didn't have utensils or anything much to put my order in. We had a great visit, and ever since that time when I come in with, or without Big Z, we have a short and pleasant visit. She has children as well, and in those first days, they were with her at the restaurant, huddled up in the corner with books, a tv, and any other item that might occupy them and keep them quiet.

I asked if we could come speak to her, and when she would be in. She didn't know it was me on the line, and so asked if it had to do with advertising. I told her it could. She hesitated, saying she has stopped advertising . . . not enough customers these days. I explained to her who I was and that I wanted to come in anyhow, because what we have can help even now. I told her I knew she and her husband were good business people and I valued them (he has a construction business, too). So, though Big Z will be at camp, I will go meet with her on Friday.

I had a cool thing happen today as I picked up the phone to dial Big Z's father. There was no dial tone. "Hmm," I thought. "I'm sure I plugged the phone back in." Yes. I had.

"Hello, this is Tess."

On the other end of the line was a woman who said she'd gotten a message from me, but it was garbled and she just had her phone replaced and was calling me back. So, I looked for her information and could not find it !!! She said she was from TX, and she was willing to go through the interview, so we did.

Her computer is in the shop right now, but she's going to the library tomorrow to look at our videos. Her boyfriend is in construction and he's not gotten a good contract in over 4 months. She has 4 children at home, all under 16 years, and one has a disability. She wants to have income to consider retirement, to have something of her own, to have income, and to eventually restructure every area of her life.

After I got off the coaching call with Jacki sharing how wonderful it was to have a contact that you don't know where they came from, I searched and searched and finally found where she came from. She is from a batch of Cutting Edge Media leads that we used with the Calling System we used a few months ago. I'm still following up with those leads ---though, they took a little bit of a back seat during Miracle Team leads ---- I called her again on the 21st. And, it wasn't her--- it was the name of her son AND a different email, but the phone number was the same.

Yippee!!!

It will be lovely to talk with her tomorrow evening and answer her questions. She said, "Just the name of your company is how I feel. One person has a hard time making a difference, but, Together --- now together you can do so much."

What I most loved about this woman was her good nature, and, her matter-of-fact answer to income potential --- Her answer on living comfortably was to have 1/2 million to 1 million dollars a year. Now, she's the first person to ever give that figure --- and to be serious about it. She knows what it will take to care for her disabled boy; she knows what it will take to care for herself and not be a burden to her children; she knows that figure is realistic ---
and, she said that if I'm asking that kind of question, we must have a type of program that can get her to this level.

Indeed. Ginny believes we can, however, I cautioned that it won't happen overnight since we are not a get-rich-program. Instead, we are a "you must take action and use our system" program and do your part. She said it was okay, that she still had some years to play with ;-).

As for Facebook, why, I've got a little bit of a learning curve --- what are all those games, and points and who knows what-- pillow fights, etc. I still don't quite know how to post, but I did get a pix up after Jacki ribbed me for not getting one up last night; and I had another friend rib me because I sent her my pix last week of being bald for T-Day --- so, what to do but to rib her back because she has a penguin as her pix ;-). For those of you that understand it, I commend you, and ask for your patience as I become indoctrinated into the land of social networking. I did find a way to post to my wall about what we are doing --- providing a win-win-win fundraising experience at www.buildasolarovenfactory.com.

Day 16 -----Let Facebook Begin ;-)

Live Chat started my day after going outside into the cool morning air to water my plants. I took in the beauty of the sun as it filtered through the misty air. It was positively beautiful.

Today I visited a soon-to-be members MySpace site, and her Corkin.com listings. I also followed up with her today. She intends to get started on August 1.

I'd not heard of Corkin.com, so I found myself listening to a video after clicking on a fella's pix and came to find out he's the co-creator of the site -- a beyond Craigslist experience. Paul Kats is his name and he was in on the ground floor creation of MySpace and graduated from UC Berkley. They wanted to create a better product, use word of mouth to grow its member base, have forums for feedback on their systems, and for networking. They wanted happy users, the best features, the best tools and the best products. He stated, much as we all say and I paraphrase:

You Must Believe In Your Idea and LIVE It.
You must listen to people's suggestions.
All of the above must gel ---best products, best tools, best features and happy users.

Corkin.com's name came from the old cork boards where people used to post their items for sale.

Today I was blessed to visit with former Boot Camper Tom. We had a brief but wonderful catch-up. I also got to call a stack of East Coast contacts which felt great.

One person I spoke with was really interested in the certificates for the Global Initiative and so I got him the info and hope he buys himself and his children certificates ;-).

Thank you, Ginny, for posting the receipts for the Solar Oven Project ;-).

On the Miracle Team Coaching Call tonight, Jacki challenged me to put a time frame on when I will visit my first business (es) in town. By Friday night blog posting, I will DO IT ;-).

All is well, and tonight I got swept away with my other goal from last Boot Camp--- and because of the prodding of one of my high school friends who I really, really want to be on my Together We Can Change The World Team. So, I admit, I got sucked into the process of signing up while on our Miracle Team Call ---

And, then . . .

It is now hours since then and I STILL haven't connected with all my *friends*. I can say, however, this is one of the fastest ways to get connected I have ever seen ;-).

And, so, this is online social networking connection #2 for the week.

And now, before the deadline, I'd better get my report to Susan.

Big Z is well and thriving in his camp this week, in spite of mosquito hunger and scrapes and bruises ---

Good Night All ;-).

Day 15 ----Week 3 Begins

My day began at 0600 with the Boot up of my computer and has been non-stop since then except for a lunch time out ;-).

My energy has been really good today. As I said on the Miracle Team Call this morning, my weekend provided nourishment, activity, rest and downtime that gave me a feeling of renewal.
I carried this through my day ~~~

Big Z got off to Camp just before I hopped on Customer Service for 2 1/2 hours. It was wonderful to hear John Crisp on the Family Chat tonight after being able to help him on my shift today --- Way to Go, John. Welcome back to My Power Mall ;-).

Now that Jacki is drinking green smoothies, why lemonades will be next ;-). LOL
Jacki, I told you this already, but I am so very, very proud of you for making this leap and taking action. How incredible to hear you haven't had your meds for three days! WOWee!

I didn't get my leads today in the conventional sense --- instead, my last 8 hours was devoted to the phone making follow-up calls, with follow-up emails occurring in the midst of it. My follow-ups leads ran the gamut, from old Peak Impact, to the leads for the testing system we used a few months ago (yes! still following up AND reaching people after 3-4th VM), the Fab 50 and the Miracle Team leads, and yes! my local contact leads. It adds up after awhile of being consistent ;-).

All told, I have 5 new contacts from a stack of local leads I have.

The followed up on 35 people and was happy for connects, whether it be new interviews or following up after interviews or connecting for the first time.

My stack of leads to follow-up with after interviews happens to have a lot of them on the east coast. My challenge--- many of my mornings are devoted to calls or Customer Service, so I find that by the day's end, I'm only able to get to a few a day before it's too late to call.

The good news is that I have so many folks in my local area and times zones, that I'm having plenty to keep me busy into the evening and am still not even getting all of them followed up with.

Isn't it GREAT to have TOO MANY people to SHARE our Business with????

YES!

It IS!

While on the Miracle Team call this morning, I was looking for my contact for my credit union. I haven't found her yet, and know her contact info is nearby ----however, I found a stack of sales letters I'd set aside for buying cars from local dealers, ad paks with local business advertising, and a stack of merchants and people I know who have a business. I pulled them all out, sorted through the ad pak and picked out who I wanted to approach, and kept the letters handy. I also included a few people I've spoken or worked with in the past to contact them, including old leads who either said yes or not to a former business of mine.

Did I have a chance to look at them again today?

Nope. But when I did have them in my hand, I was visualizing my approach to businesses and "dressing up" for the meeting. I am determined to speak to merchants in my community, even if I've heard in the past that our local community of businesses are tough to "break into" when it comes to networking --- Each time I visualize myself doing it, I'm creating the confidence I'll need to waltz through those doors.

I'm re-adding to my list the call to the market to confirm what I read in their forms you must fill out to get a fundraiser set up in their entryway --- they said none allowed in summer months --- and certain other times of the year.

Today I revisited a networking site for women that I joined in April. I've been working so diligently that I haven't really had the time to get in there. But as I'm also determined to get myself onto Facebook, etc . . . I knew that I needed to take advantage of what was already begun.

So, I upgraded my membership so that I could take advantage of a 6 week long tele-seminar course that is going to be provided (we can always learn more and more and more) and also to gain additional training, mentoring, and connection with other women.

While there, I joined a forum connected to a woman who's driven Big Rigs for years --- and posted to it (I took my Class A CDL course almost 2 years ago). And, I also uploaded one of the videos we bought from Lost Marble in the UK and wrote up a blurb about TWCCTW based, taking tidbits from our Miracle Team Training and including a link to the T-Day site and the TWCCTW song.

T-DAY ---http://www.togetherwecanchangetheworldday.com/home/25925
TWCCTW SONG ---http://www.togetherwecanchangetheworld.com/twcctwsong/25925

Tomorrow begins anew with Customer Service at 7 am, and two schedule follow-up calls directly after; and my dinner ---veggie soup --- sits waiting for me to fill my belly, a bit late tonight.

It's ALL good!

Ya'll have a blessed night's rest and we'll see you tomorrow.

Day 14 ----End of Week 2

"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

-Anais Nin

Sunday became a day of reading, rest, and catching up on details that have slipped by in our personal lives. Big Z finished Book of Harry Potter and he finally got me reading Book 2 again. He encouraged, "You should really just start Book 7 before we have to take it back to the library, Mom." Now, how can I do that???

Our lives are filled with many blessings . . . and we are glad for them.

We wish you a week full of joy as you risk, as you blossom.

Day 13 ----Day Off Day

For the most part, today was a day-off day. It felt GREAT.

I did make one scheduled follow-up call and checked in on things . . .

But the rest of the day was devoted to "reasonable rewards" --- for the efforts given for the last 90 plus days. It's been a good and wonderful devotion to the growth of Big Z's Enterprise and our Foundation Malls, Big Z Gives Big and Giving Together Is Good.

I hiked to the top of a local mountain and enjoyed the beauty, the sights, the sounds, the delightful flight of the starlings, the ants busy at their work, the funny little bugs that liked to stick themselves to me, the sunshine, the f-r-e-e-d-o-m, my company . . .

Big Z and I also got to hang out on his bed while he read Harry Potter and I read a few paragraphs in a booklet and dozed. Much as he tried to get me to read HP, too, I just couldn't focus on it . . .

We then got out to visit a local lake and found it was full of folks celebrating a huge event, people from all over the country we found by reading all the license plates, so we settled on a little mountain lake. We cooled off and hung out on the beach; Big Z also attempted to catch the little fish with black tails. The larger fish with iridescent tails kept further in the depths and weren't so eager.

Ominous clouds rolled in over the mountains and threatened a storm. Within a short time, it did more than threaten! Lightning rolled across the sky and thunder boomed after it. Big Z looked at me, his eyes wide, and I said, "Time to go!" and more lightening lit up the sky. We packed up and got to the car and settled into the warm heat still remaining from the late afternoon sun.

He wanted to race the storm, but we found we didn't get far before the big booms sounded and big fat rain drops slapped the windshield. We drove very slowly and were surprised at all the weekend traffic. We drove by Big Z's old home he moved from last year when his Dad sold the house. We got home, showered up and ate homemade soup, and now, a bit of relaxation and bonding time before we hop into bed, our ears listening to the thunder and rain . . .

Hope you are all very, very well this evening.

Day 12 ---- Friday

Followed up with folks that are still in the funnel and expectantly awaiting our new team members to join with us and our mission with Together We Can Change The World~

Sending emails and e-cards. Will follow-up with some e-books this weekend for those that are not ready for the power of My Power Mall --- y.e.t.

Had two great clients and sessions today, had delightful weather, got to hug my boy, and make fresh veggie soup.

I'm looking forward to our weekend. Will be following up and connecting as we move through it.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone. And, celebrate Life!

End of the Typical Work Week

Typical?

Yes. Typical . . . Most people are out there working 9-5 Monday through Friday --- factor in commutes and you find people have little time at home, with themselves, or their families.

When you have a home-based business, your efforts and actions go towards creating your freedom --- freedom from the rat-race and someone else's clock. It doesn't happen overnight; success that is. It happens by taking a little bit of action towards your dreams every single day, no matter how small. Each day's action adds up to quite a lot of action, and, results will begin to appear, seemingly out of nowhere.

Big Z and I are seeing this in the growth of our team. Frank sees it in his team. We've been diligent and consistent for months now. In time, we shall have a snowball effect; we shall hit the 100th Monkey Effect; we shall ride our Prosperity Wave, and be able to have the water spray touch each and every person around us as if it were Golden drops of Abundance and Spiritual Energy. And, as those people see this golden spray lit up with the powerful energy of creation and abundance, they will be awe-struck, their jaws dropped, their eyes wide, and their hands lifted to receive. They will be given the gift of knowingness ---that they too can get to where we are going . . . F-R-E-E-D-O-M.

Each one of us, even when we press up against ourselves, our fears, our nay-sayers, and anything and anyone else that would stop us, must continue to hold our vision in front of us.

What's so wonderful about TWCCTW and the vision of our company is that it is so large and encompasses so much that it can serve as a springboard for your very own vision if you can't quite articulate it yet. Throw yourself behind our cause and sing the SONG --- "Together WE CAN Change The World".

Then, as you move along, you will find your own vision within the global vision. Personalize it; make it yours. Our vision comes back to our "why".

We want residual income that sustains our everyday needs and that provides for our wants and desires. We want to have flexibility in our time and still know our needs and wants are met. We want to know that at a moment's notice, we can be spontaneous and take a trip backpacking in the mountains for a week, travel to California to spend time with our family, travel to Virgina, Connecticut, Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, and Ohio to see our friends and our extended family. How I'd love to go sweep my Grandfather away on a trip around the country so that he can see anything his heart desires before his time to leave this earth comes, sharing special time with Big Z and he, and anyone else who wanted to join us! We want to be able to give of our time and have ease about it. When our needs are met, it's so wonderful to give and give fully without the thought in your head, " . . . but I need to . . ." and instead have our thoughts totally focused in the now, in the delightful experience right in front of us. We want our time to be our own --- not tied to a clock and to the person that holds the purse-strings.

We want our lives to be increasingly rich in all areas of our lives --- physically, spiritually, mentally, psychologically, emotionally.

We want to be able to nurture our innate gifts and talents and share them with the world. Fortunately, Big Z is already taking piano. But Oh! what other delightful endeavors there are in this life! To taste fully of each one and become an expert if it fits our fancy, now that's what we're talking about.

How many of you get to live like this? Few . . .

Well, we're going to be one of the few that DO live with freedom and flexibility in our lives. With TWCCTW and MPM it is possible. We have a vehicle, and we're in the seat driving it, and it's not a haphazard trip either. We're following a map, a plan, laid out for us by the capable leaders of our company that have gone before us. All we have to do is have the "drive" (hey! that's an unexpected and good pun) within us to follow the map!

The Miracle Boot Camp is a choice for us. As we chose it; we were chosen. We've had our challenges in these last two weeks, but we are going to step through each and every one of them because our why, our vision, is much larger than anything that can hold us back, including our "past" limited income.

The Miracle Boot Camp is a chance for us to demonstrate consistency in action towards our vision, towards our goals, to step ever closer and to become one with our why.

We are not perfect in this, but instead we are Perfect Imperfectionists, and, that said, we are firmly gentle on ourselves. Which is what we would hope that anyone who is growing a business from home would be. We are human, we have lives, we have demands that sometimes seem beyond our control --- but we can do what we can and be glad in it!

Thank you for tuning into our 4 week publicized journey. And, thank you to each and every Miracle Boot Camper for doing your part and pulling through with each and every challenge and success, and for uniting with us. We are more than one gathered, and therefore, TOGETHER, our message of freedom ---from time and money limitations, and inner growth limitations, and career limitations and any other seen and unseen limitations --- be heard daily.

"Let us BE FREE

To SERVE the HIGHER GOOD
of us ALL."

Day 11 ----

This morning brought me a fun call while on Live Chat --- a call by Ellie Drake on finding your "Prosperity Hormone". Now, this call was mainly for women, but guys also have their own prosperity hormone, just very different from ours ;-). The call was a teaser for an upcoming extensive tele-conference and was interesting. I walked away with the message that we women need to be in love with our vision, and give birth to our purpose and cultivate it through the "motherly courage of consistency to see our purpose through."

I was able to help an International person from India who was on our My Power Mall site for the first time; and I helped a member from the US understand how she opens new business centers for her granddaughter, her daughter, and for NPO's and TWCCTW Foundations.

Customer Service time is always good when you're able to walk away from the shift knowing that you've helped a member or a prospective member out. It's rewarding to not only serve our members, but to get to know our the CS team over time.

I'm never very good at multi-tasking when on Live Chat, but today, I think I did a good job of catching almost all of the conference call and being effective by getting my callers the information they needed.

I highly recommend to anyone who wants to hone their skills a little further to volunteer for the Chat Line. Nita is an outstanding Director, and as I've said before, has a sense of humor worth your time ;-). It's a great way to give back to TWCCTW for all that TWCCTW gives to us.

Email Nita at admin [at] mypowermall.com. Let her know you're ready, willing, and dependable. Shifts are 2 hours in length most often, though with the new 5 hour minimum, it may be you do have an hour shift -- or, you stretch to 6 hours/week.

I had a lovely Reconnective Healing Session with my first client early in the afternoon after creating individualized e-cards and mailing them out. After the session, I spoke with my client (who is a friend) about our boot camp and fund raiser; and he's very curious about Reconnective Healing.

I've decided to come off my lemonade drinks, so I went to the market to get oranges and a few other items. It was my excuse to visit with folks. I stopped by the USPS on my way home.

My successes at the market were --- making approaches and having conversations -- or not, depending upon who I was speaking with.

I had an especially wonderful conversation with a woman who is 82 years young, and who met my eyes with a smile. Alas, she doesn't have a computer and hasn't been on one since she retired from the telephone company 26 years ago ;-). Her husband died 2 years ago, but she still lives alone and attends to her needs, including yard care. I inquired whether she had familial help with those projects, 'cause me and Big Z wouldn't mind at all to come help her out. She had her bases covered, so we smiled and wished each other a good day.

I went to the customer service counter to see who I may speak with about setting up a table out from of the market to share about the Solar Oven Project. I have a name and paperwork to fill out. It's a 4 week or so process, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to get it set up by our deadline, but it's worth a try ;-).

I came home to work on my project --- my forgotten project for earlier this week, since the info was in my computer and not right in front of my face ;-). I have 6 organizations that need assistance becoming My Power Mall Non-Profit Mall Members. I made my calls, had connects, disconnects, no emails, and left voice mails. I now will follow up with emails with a link to the current NPO video.

My effort gave me an idea as I squeezed fresh oranges, their aroma filling the air around me, and it has also made me more comfortable calling an organization.

I have a stack of 25 NPOs who need help getting their My Power Mall NPOs set up. I'm going to find my list and get to work doing the same thing I did today and call them. People need guidance. These organizations need guidance. So, if any one of you who are reading this also accepted 25 NPOs for helping TWCCTW at some point, get that file out and get to work ;-).

It was rewarding to visit some of the web sites for these organizations and to see what they do and how small or large they are. It was exhilarating to tap into their mission and feel an excitement to know more . . . alas, my time is limited currently, but I enjoyed the niggle.

I made follow-up calls and have just a little bit more time before I'm back out the door for my next healing client.

It's been a good day.

Rest well everyone, and, keep your spirits light.

Happy Birthday, GinnyD.

singing . . .

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU . . .
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU . . .
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR GINNY . . .
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!

and, Many More . . . "

We appreciate YOU. Have a blessed day and a year of incredible bounty, in all aspects of your life.
